We use Plaid to manage the connection between Ratio and your bank. If you have linked your bank account to Venmo or Cash App you have used Plaid before.

Linking your bank account through Plaid

1. Search for your bank or select from the list
2. Enter your online banking credentials
3. Plaid & your bank will verify your credentials and present a list of accounts
4. Choose the account you would like to use with Ratio

*the name on your bank account must match the name you used to sign up with Ratio

*you can only have one bank account linked to Ratio at a time. You can remove the existing account and connect a new one from settings

*your average bank balance is one of the factors used to determine your spending limits with Ratio. It's always best to connect a checking account that has a history of activity and balances

Bank account linking errors

Please note that you will be unable to link a bank account through Plaid if you meet any of the below criteria:

• You attempted to link an account where the name on file does not match your name on file with Ratio
• You attempted to link a joint account, but your name appears second on that account
• You attempted to link a business bank account
• Your account is closed or in a negative balance
